RELATED EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL INFORMATION
Justin has over 22 years of radio broadcast and related industry experience. His responsibilities involved creating and producing station and client promos, in-house commercial production, and drivetime airshifts in Orlando, Florida, and in Washington, DC.
A small railroad and coal mining town in the southernmost tip of West Virginia is where Justin was born and spent his early years. When his family moved to Bailey's Crossroads, Virginia, he discovered a real love for music.
Justin learned to play the drums, piano, and guitar, and formed a successful band during high school. They performed locally and recorded several original songs through the years. "Rosewood" as it was called, even won the "Best Band in Washington" contest held by a local radio station.
In his late teens, Justin found recording engineering, and radio broadcasting fascinating. Now, with more than 22 years in the radio industry, his voice work can be heard in the U.S., Canada, and Europe including Disney World, Sea World, and Universal Studios. Justin has voiced many commercials and narration's through the years, and enjoys very much radio's "Theatre of The Mind". As a station voice, he's been heard in California, New Jersey, Las Vegas, Florida, and other markets.
Today, Justin enjoys his professional career as a broadcaster and independent businessman, and continues to write songs in his spare time. He has handed down the love of music to his children. His son is an actor and drummer and will soon be pursuing his acting career in Los Angeles, and his daughter is an accomplished vocalist and keyboardist now pursuing her music career full time in Orlando.
Justin owns a multitrack recording studio and broadcast production facility in his home office. This studio is complete with guitars, drums, piano and synthesizers in his home so the entire family as well as local artists can pursue their music and audio production projects.
Justin and his wife have been married since 1978, and with the exception of 3 years in the Orlando, Florida radio market, his broadcast experience has been right here where he grew up, in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
Today, along with his work in radio and his creative imaging clients, he is also involved in Commercial Real Estate Development and has recently completed a 21,400 square foot 2-story Professional Office Complex in Prince William County, Virginia.
MISCELLANEOUS EXPERIENCE
During 1983 to 1985, Justin took a break from radio to design, build, and become a managing partner for a chain of audio video retail stores and multiplex cinemas in the Richmond-Tidewater area of Virginia. Justin consolidated his investments and ultimately broke away from the parent company TVS, Ltd. to form New Media, Inc.
With his new company, he expanding into Arlington, Virginia, returning him and his family back home to the Washington area. In 1985, he sold his assets and dissolved New Media's Arlington based "VideoBox" outlet and returned to radio on a full time basis.
Justin has also obtained a Virginia Real Estate license and worked as a Realtor with ERA Van Meter Properties, and Long & Foster Realty in Virginia.
